Ground-Up Infrastructure, Museum-Grade Engineering & Custom Gallery Fabrication at Mahalaxmi Racecourse
For three consecutive seasons, Crew Collective has been the proud production partner for Showtime Group, building the ground-up infrastructure for Art Mumbai right from the fair’s very first edition. Turning an open-air racecourse into a pristine, museum-grade exhibition space requires a careful mix of heavy-duty engineering and delicate precision.
Building the Pavilion
We engineered and leveled massive German hangar structures over the racecourse's uneven ground, supported by multi-layered flooring designed to create a world-class indoor exhibition space.
Controlling the Climate
We managed the HVAC systems round the clock to maintain stable temperature and humidity levels inside the pavilion, protecting irreplaceable contemporary artworks from Mumbai's coastal climate.

We oversaw the fabrication of dozens of individual gallery booths, ensuring every wall was perfectly straight, structurally sound, and seamlessly finished. Handling Every Custom Request

While each gallery received a standard package of walls and track lighting, many required custom additions. We tracked, coordinated, and delivered every request from angled walls and specialty paint to additional lighting without slowing down the overall build.
